William Striblen House
The second brewer in town was Henry Nunning whose son August Nunning built the Nunning House at 1401 Jules with the fortune generated by the brewery he inherited from his father. In 1887, he hired the prominent architectural firm of Eckel and Mann to build him a house suitable to his status. This grand Queen Anne with more than 30 stained-glass windows and spectacular woodwork was the result.
